Eyewitnesses and court records confirm that on the evening of March 10, 2022, Lauren Pazienza crossed paths with Ms. Gustern. After exchanging words, Pazienza intentionally pushed her to the ground. This caused Ms. Gustern to suffer a severe head injury, which proved fatal.
After the incident, Pazienza remained in the vicinity for about 20 minutes before leaving for her apartment in Astoria, Queens, with her fiancé.
