Tragic end: Gary Coleman died in the Utah home he shared with Shannon Price
For someone who was once a world famous, beloved television star, Gary Coleman’s home in Santaquin, Utah, was far from a lap of luxury.
The actor spent his final days in squalid conditions in his £200,000 residence, that was littered with rubbish and blood stains in the kitchen.
Controversy surrounds the Diff’rent Strokes actor’s death from a brain haemorrage at the age of 42 on May 28th.
A war has been raging between Gary’s ex-wife (with whom he was still living) Shannon Price, and his estranged parents, who have been arguing over his will and funeral arrangements.
But now, photos have emerged which have added even more scandal to the weeks leading up to Gary’s death, and the mystery surrounding it.
The three-storey home was ‘trashed’, with the bed covered in items such as adult diapers, dirty laundry, broken light bulbs and peanut butter, according to one US tabloid.
Further pictures showed what appeared to be a whip, and two artificial Christmas trees in the living room, still decorated, despite the photos being taken in May.
Squalid conditions: While the actor's £200,000 house was presentable from the outside, inside it was a very different story
‘Gary and Shannon had hardly any furniture,' a source told the National Enquirer.
'Every dime that Gary made was spent on either medical bills or model trains.’

ShareFollowing Gary’s death, there has been much speculation around the alleged involvement of Shannon in the events surrounding her 911 call, and ultimately her participation in switching off his life support machine.
The autopsy, which was carried out following his death, ruled out foul play and yesterday it was claimed a second autopsy had been scrapped.

A cremation is expected to take place imminently.
Last week Shannon was battling with Coleman’s former manager and girlfriend to be proprietors of his estate.
Shannon, 24, married Gary two years ago, they had become separated in the past year but continued to live together.
She came under fire last week for reportedly attempting to sell photographs of Gary’s dead body as he lay in the hospital.
