Before he became one of the most beloved characters on the immensely popular show Game of Thrones, Peter Dinklage had another calling: punk rock.

Dinklage, who has played Tyrion Lannister in the HBO show since 2011, was the frontman of a punk rock band in the 1990s.

NME reported the band was named Whizzy, saying the group performed a blend of funk, rap and punk.

"I was pretty angry back then", Dinklage said of his time in the band, according to the publication.

While there's no video footage online of the band playing, a number of photos from the 90s show Dinklage performing with Whizzy in New York.

Dinklage isn't the only Game of Thrones star with a musical background. Jerome Flynn, who plays Bronn, used to perform in a duo called Robson & Jerome, while Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Bolton) also performs as an folk/pop singer-songwriter.

Carice Van Houten (Melisandre) has released a pop album called See You On the Ice. Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm) has released two EPs and a debut album under the name Raleigh Ritchie, and John Bradley (Samwell Tarly) is a highly accomplished drummer.
