Diablo 4 The Diviner side-quest is a bit longer than other quests available in the Scosglen region of the video game developed by Blizzard Entertainment, and it involves finding three Runestones for an NPC named Yuein.

Diablo 4 Diviner side-quest becomes available early in the game but is partially hidden, as you are about to see.

The side-quest is mandatory for those aiming to get 100% completion in Scosglen, and throughout the following walkthrough, we discuss all Runestones locations and how to activate them.

How To Start The Diviner Quest in Diablo 4

To start Diablo IV The Diviner quest, first, you must reach Act 2 of the game and head west towards the Tur Dulra stronghold.

For this quest to appear on your map, you must clear or conquer the Tur Dulra stronghold and turn it into a friendly location. Once all threats are removed, if you open your map, you’ll see an exclamation mark in the central area, as the one pictured below.

At the location marked above, you’ll find Scholar Yuein tending the Great Oak. When you ask him if the Great Oak will recover, he’ll tell you it will take time; however, it is possible to help the Great Oak by finding some of the Tur Dulra Runestones that survived the Days of Ash event.

Scholar Yuein wants you to find a Tur Dulra Runestone as a first step in The Diviner side quest.

Where To Find the Diablo 4 Tur Dulra Runestone

After talking to Scholar Yuein, you’ll be given a search area within the Tur Dulra Stronghold, and to find the Runestone, you have to interact with several Piles of Stones as those pictured below.

Look for them north of Scholar Yuein, and interact with every Pile of Stones to uncover the Tur Dulra Runestone.

Now return to Scholar Yuein, and he’ll try to reawaken it with no success because the Runestone you found is connected to three other Runestones around Tur Dulra:

  • Spirit Runestone
  • Earthen Runestone
  • Nature Runestone

Tell Scholar Yuein you are ready to go looking for them to continue the Diablo IV The Diviner quest.

Where To Find the Diablo 4 Spirit, Earthen, and Nature Runestones

After agreeing to help Yuein further, open your map to spot the locations of the three Runestones, you have to activate. You can also see them on the map below.

To progress the quest, you must visit all locations on our map; however, if you want to save time, you’ll want to follow the same order because one of them is inside a dungeon.

  • Spirit Runestone – found at the edge of the forest south of Tur Dulra
  • Nature Runestone – found east of Tur Dulra in front of some ruins
  • Earthen Runestone – located inside Wretched Delve dungeon, north of Tur Dulra
  • The trickiest one is the Earthen Runestone because it requires you to explore the Wretched Delve dungeon, which is randomly generated; thus, it’s impossible to pinpoint its location in our guide.

You should know, though, that you don’t have to complete the Wretched Delve dungeon to activate the Earthen Runestone, but you must explore all tunnels since the location is random.

You can see the Earthen Runestone below, and this is what you are looking for.

Once you activate the Diablo 4 Earthen Runestone, exit the dungeon using the icon on your map, and head back to Yuein, who will ask you to touch the Ruenstone of Tur Dulra.

Interact with it, and The Diviner side quest is complete. Aside from Gold, XP, 20 Scolsgen Renown Points, and a Murmuring Cache, for completing the D4 Diviner side quest, you’ll also unlock the Left in Ashes quest, but before starting it, it’s recommended to complete Tending Nature.
