Owens signed a multi-year deal with the company in 2020. On January 31, he shared the news that is contract was expiring the same day, but he apparently struck a deal with the company.

Owens first wrestled for NJPW in 2014; he regularly started working for them after his appearance in the Best Of The Super Junior XXII in 2015. The Buller Club member previously held the NJPW King Of Pro-Wrestling provisional trophy. He hasn’t wrestled since NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 16 Night Two, but in his tweet, he noted that he’ll be back soon.
